Mirelles – East Coast Reunion “An Evening to Remember our friend George Lucas”
Tuesday 6/19 6:00-9:00pm
170 Post Ave, Westbury, NY 11590
Passing: George Lucas, co-owner US Blues Roslyn, major proponent of Live Music on Long Island!
George was instrumental in East Coast’s formative years in the late 70’s/very early 80’s when he gave us a steady Sunday gig to coalesce as a band. Great memories include “The Great East Coast Truck Heist” and our gig with John Belushi playing John’s drums.
Original East Coaster’s (including band found Dan Vitalo, Jr. , Toni Washington (Bolt), Carell Mancuso, George Ellert, Al Biggiani + Paul & John will join the current band to perform a few songs to commemorate the event. We will be followed by old US Blues friends Richie Cannata (original Billy Joel Band), Ricky Byrd (Joan Jett & The Blackhearts) plus many others from that late 70’s- early 80’s period when you couldn’t get a car down Roslyn Road because the streets were packed with Live Music Fans.

The Gateway Theater, 215 S Country Rd, Bellport, NY 11713 631.286.1133 Live & Let Die Video. We gathered all the East Coast horn section players, plus the East Coast String Quartet (eleven of us en toto) to back the sensational Live & Let Die Band led by Beatlemania veteran Tony Kishman. This is the first time we’ve been able to do this show close to home so we’d love to share the experience with you. It’s always a lot of fun and Tony is uncanny with his McCartney renditions (click this link too)! In the band are East Coast keyboardist Keith Hill plus longtime LI/NY music friends John Merjave (27 West/Liverpool/Max Weinberg) and Tommy Williams (Mazarin/Debbie Gibson/The Hooters) who really help make the show!
